Louis Wharton and John De La Merced Selected to Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 “Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys”

Stubbs Alderton & Markiles, LLP is pleased to congratulate its own Louis Wharton and John De La Merced on being named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 “Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys” list. The prestigious list annually recognizes remarkable attorneys in the Los Angeles region who happen to be from a broad cultural spectrum.

In the Business Journal’s special issue, Louis was honored for his status as an industry leader and his contribution to SA&M’s reputation as a firm offering stellar corporate, securities, IP, and litigation legal experience. His profile discusses his 18 years at the firm, in addition to his extensive experience advising clients with venture capital funds and angel networks, along with middle-market, emerging growth, early-stage and public companies in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities compliance, and general corporate matters.

John’s selection to the 2022 list was predicated on his representation of high-profile clients in complex business litigation matters, including commercial, intellectual property, and real estate disputes. Additionally, his profile notes one of John’s significant accomplishments serving as co-trial counsel and securing a complete victory on behalf of a pharmaceutical company in a two-week arbitration proceeding in a bet-the-company case against the company’s former business partner.
