Jeremy Beutler and Taylor Osher’s article on the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum (the Global CBPR Forum) was recently published by Law360.
In the article, Jeremy and Taylor outline information on the Global CBPR Forum, noting that the timing of this announcement occurred shortly after the European Commission and the United States announced the new Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework, or TADPF, that will replace the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Jeremy and Taylor suggest that, as both of these frameworks are currently in development, there is opportunity to align the two privacy regulatory regimes, giving businesses a more consistent privacy framework for operation.
