Durdana Karim’s article entitled, “Concerns with the Smart Contract Model” was featured in The National Law Review. In the article, she discusses the multitude of technical issues surrounding smart contracts and blockchain platforms, and advises individuals and entities to be mindful of their usage to minimize potential losses as regulatory standards are still evolving.
With these risks in mind, Durdana expresses that the shift to the Smart Contract Model could change how business agreements are operated, with advantages including “lowering legal fees, increasing accuracy, speeding up business transactions, reducing execution errors, and diminishing the risk of potential manipulation and counterfeits.”
