Gary Chen

Gary’s practice focuses on advising emerging growth and middle-market companies in a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financings, commercial agreements and other general corporate matters. He specializes in leading domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, providing his clients with valuable legal counsel on acquisition and divestiture strategies, deal structuring, and post-closing integration. Gary’s practice also includes representing early-stage companies from inception through various stages of venture capital financing. He has additional expertise managing legal and corporate governance matters on behalf of clients, including regulatory compliance issues.

Prior to joining the Firm, Gary served as in-house counsel and in executive leadership roles for investment banking firms, venture capital funds and multinational corporations across North America, China and Taiwan. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
