Heather Antoine recently spoke to Newsy for its story "What Does Hollywood Have To Fear With Deepfakes?”, which discusses actors’ rights pertaining to the use of ‘digital twins’ as the practice of deepfakes becomes more common in Hollywood. Although it varies by state, the article explains that one protection afforded to actors is the right to publicity.

“If you have this ability to make money off yourself, then you should own that ability,” Heather tells Newsy. “That's just considered an intellectual property right, so it's freely transferable, it's freely licensable."
