Tabitha Flood is an Associate at Stubbs Alderton & Markiles, LLP, and is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation group. Tabitha represents a diverse array of clients, including financial institutions, media companies, manufacturers, and others, in complex civil litigation matters. These cases encompass a wide range of legal issues such as contracts, business torts, intellectual property disputes, antitrust matters, allegations of fraud, and products liability claims.
Tabitha has proven her abilities across a range of legal areas, achieving a series of notable successes. In a securities litigation matter, her contributions to a motion to dismiss led to the complete dismissal of all claims against an insurance company and its executives for securities fraud, a decision that stood firm through Sixth Circuit review. She also played a pivotal role in securing the dismissal of investors' claims against bank clients for alleged antitrust violations, citing insufficient evidence. In an appellate litigation matter concerning a cryptocurrency client, Tabitha's contributions to an appellate brief were instrumental in affirming the trial court's decision in favor of the client by the California Court of Appeal. Additionally, she played a crucial role in securing a favorable settlement for a media company in a copyright infringement and antitrust litigation matter. Moreover, Tabitha showcased her legal acumen by securing a significant judgment for a client defrauded by interior designers, notably a major Hollywood film writer, in a fraud and breach of contract case.
Tabitha earned her B.A. from St. Lawrence University, where she distinguished herself as a McCurdy-Sprague Trustee, advising the University on pivotal budget and financial decisions. She later obtained her J.D. from Howard University School of Law.
Beyond her legal pursuits, Tabitha enjoys boxing and learning French.
